Hello and a very warm welcome to Leasa Langridge Counselling & Supervision

A confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings and the challenges in your life

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Leasa Langridge Counselling.

I am a BACP registered counsellor and counselling supervisor providing online therapy to adult individuals and couples in Hassocks, Burgess Hill, Brighton and surrounding areas, as well as UK wide online via Zoom.

Counselling & therapy online in the comfort of your own home...

...or your office, car, walking in the park or anywhere you choose that you can talk freely and with privacy. Many people are finding that having their counselling online is more convenient, saving time and money on travelling to appointments and parking, just needing to find an hour in their week to book in an appointment. It's really easy to do and you can access your appointment via your pc, laptop or mobile phone by simply clicking the link in the email invitation I send you. It couldn't be easier!

Walk & Talk I also offer walk and talk sessions in the beautiful Sussex countryside, usually to established clients where we both feel this could be helpful. Message me for more information if this is something you feel might be of benefit to you.

I offer a warm and safe counselling relationship, a space just for you, without judgement, to reflect on the issues you are experiencing in an accepting and confidential environment, with someone from outside your day-to-day life. Together we can explore your issues in a way that leads to fresh perspectives - and perhaps a new understanding of yourself. Counselling isn’t about giving you solutions or advice, but about empowering you to identify and make your own changes.

I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, coming to me for a diverse range of reasons. As a fully-qualified counsellor I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and abide by their code of ethics. I am also a member of the Association for Counselling & Therapy Online.

About me...

I am a fully qualified and registered counsellor and clinical supervisor and I have had my own practice since 2010. I am also a qualified relationship & couples counsellor. In 2015 I trained as an online therapist with the Online Therapy Institute and I have been offering a successful online service since then.

I have a particular interest in women's empowerment issues, especially around major life transitions such as pregnancy, fertility, peri-menopause and menopause, as well as coming out of toxic relationships, separation and divorce.

I have extensive experience of working with clients who have experienced growing up with an alcoholic, narcissistic or emotionally unavailable parent and the particular issues this can bring.

As someone with both personal and professional experience of neurodivergence, I work with many clients who are either exploring the possibility of being neurodivergent or who have recently had a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD and are looking for a space to explore this further.

Message me to arrange an initial chat and to see if we are a good fit to begin our work together.

About you...

Perhaps you are experiencing problems in your relationships, anxiety or panic attacks, low mood or depression. You might be struggling at work, have low self esteem, lack self confidence or be grieving the loss of a relationship or loved one.

You may find you are struggling with holding your boundaries with others, people pleasing, saying yes to things that you would really rather say no to and the feelings of resentment and low self worth that this brings.

You might be seeking couples counselling, support through menopause or a major life transition such as a health diagnosis or coming out of a long term relationship, toxic or otherwise.

Many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of alone. I will give you the support and space you need to help you gain a better understanding of what’s causing your problems and how you can move towards managing or resolving them.

Clinical supervision...

I hold a Specialist Certificate in Clinical Supervision and I offer online, one to one supervision to counsellors on either a fortnightly or monthly basis.

I have a particular interest in helping and advising newly qualified counsellors setting up in private practice for the first time and those who may be new to working online.

I know how financially draining your training can be. Setting up in private practice can be daunting, perhaps working alone for the first time without the back up of a placement or agency and it can take time to establish a reasonable income when you are first starting out.

I offer discounted supervision for the first six months while you build up a client base and income. Message me for details and availability.

SF, Online Counselling

“After 4 sessions you have helped me to see more clearly what I need to change to help me feel better. I have been struggling with my menopause symptoms and feeling overwhelmed. I am feeling less stressed and have made some decisions about my work/life balance that I know will help me.”
