A confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings and the challenges in your life
Welcome, and thank you for visiting Leasa Langridge Counselling.
I am a BACP registered counsellor and counselling supervisor providing both online and in-person therapy to adult individuals and couples in Hassocks, Burgess Hill, Brighton and surrounding areas, as well as UK wide online via Zoom.
…or your office, car, walking in the park or anywhere you choose that you can talk freely and with privacy. Many people are finding that having their counselling online is more convenient, saving time and money on travelling to appointments and parking, just needing to find an hour in their week to book in an appointment. It’s really easy to do and you can access your appointment via your pc, laptop or mobile phone by simply clicking the link in the email invitation I send you. It couldn’t be easier!
I offer a chance to reflect on the difficulties or problems you are experiencing in a safe and confidential environment, with someone from outside your day-to-day life. Together we can explore your situation in a way that leads to fresh perspectives – and perhaps a new understanding of yourself. Counselling isn’t about giving you solutions or advice, but about empowering you to identify and make your own changes.
I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, coming to me with a diverse range of problems. As a fully-qualified counsellor I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and abide by their code of ethics. I am also a member of the Association for Counselling & Therapy Online.
I am a fully qualified and registered counsellor and I have had my own practice since 2010. I am also a qualified relationship & couples counsellor. In 2015 I trained as an online therapist with the Online Therapy Institute and I have been offering a successful online service since then. The majority of my work is now online due to a high demand for this service but I do offer a limited number of in person appointments. Please feel free to message me for availability if this is your preference.
Perhaps you are experiencing problems in your relationships, anxiety or panic attacks, low mood or depression. You might be struggling at work, have low self esteem, lack self confidence or be grieving the loss of a relationship or loved one. Many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of. Counselling can give you the support and space you need to help you gain a better understanding of what’s causing your problems and how you can move towards managing or resolving them.
I hold a Specialist Certificate in Clinical Supervision and I offer online, one to one supervision to counsellors on either a fortnightly or monthly basis. I have a particular interest in helping counsellors setting up in private practice for the first time and those who may be new to working online.
I offer discounted supervision initially to counsellors just starting out in private practice while they build up a client base and income. Message me for details and availability.
People come to me for help a wide range of issues, too many to list here. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through counselling:
Problems with confidence or self-esteem
Boundaries & Codependence
Long term illness or disability
Grief, loss or bereavement
SF, Online Counselling
LB, telephone Counselling
I work from a private office located in Hassocks, West Sussex. The majority of my practice is based online via Zoom as the demand for this has increased dramatically over the past year. Working remotely means I can work with people from all over the UK. It also means you have no travel to consider and a much wider range of counsellors to choose from!
I do offer a limited number of in-person appointments for counselling in Hassocks, Burgess Hill, Brighton and surrounding areas so if this is your preference do contact me for details and availability.
Counselling sessions for individuals last 50 minutes, usually taking place on a weekly basis, and cost £50 per session. Couples counselling is charged at £75 per 50 minute session.
I also provide a limited number of low cost spaces for those on low-income, NHS workers or for students; contact me to enquire about availability.
Initial assessment appointments for individual counselling last around 25 minutes and cost £25.
Please note that if you want to cancel an appointment I require 48 hours’ notice to release the appointment for someone else; otherwise you will need to pay for any sessions missed. I accept payment by bank transfer or PayPal.
