Welcome to Leasa Langridge Counselling & Supervision

A confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings and the challenges in your life

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Leasa Langridge Counselling.

I am a BACP registered counsellor and counselling supervisor providing both online and in-person therapy to adult individuals and couples in Hassocks, Burgess Hill, Brighton and surrounding areas, as well as UK wide online via Zoom.

Counselling & therapy online in the comfort of your own home…

…or your office, car, walking in the park or anywhere you choose that you can talk freely and with privacy. Many people are finding that having their counselling online is more convenient, saving time and money on travelling to appointments and parking, just needing to find an hour in their week to book in an appointment. It’s really easy to do and you can access your appointment via your pc, laptop or mobile phone by simply clicking the link in the email invitation I send you. It couldn’t be easier!

Walk & Talk I also offer walk and talk sessions in the beautiful Sussex countryside, usually to established clients where we both feel this could be helpful. Message me for more information if this is something you feel might be of benefit to you.

I offer a chance to reflect on the difficulties or problems you are experiencing in a safe and confidential environment, with someone from outside your day-to-day life. Together we can explore your situation in a way that leads to fresh perspectives – and perhaps a new understanding of yourself. Counselling isn’t about giving you solutions or advice, but about empowering you to identify and make your own changes.

I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, coming to me with a diverse range of problems. As a fully-qualified counsellor I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and abide by their code of ethics. I am also a member of the Association for Counselling & Therapy Online.

About me…

I am a fully qualified and registered counsellor and clinical supervisor and I have had my own practice since 2010. I am also a qualified relationship & couples counsellor. In 2015 I trained as an online therapist with the Online Therapy Institute and I have been offering a successful online service since then. The majority of my work is now online due to a high demand for this service but I do offer a limited number of in person appointments. I also offer a limited number of walk & talk therapy sessions in the beautiful Sussex countryside where this is appropriate. Please feel free to message me for availability if this is your preference.

About you…

Perhaps you are experiencing problems in your relationships, anxiety or panic attacks, low mood or depression. You might be struggling at work, have low self esteem, lack self confidence or be grieving the loss of a relationship or loved one. You might be seeking couples counselling, support through menopause or a major life transition. Many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of. Counselling can give you the support and space you need to help you gain a better understanding of what’s causing your problems and how you can move towards managing or resolving them.

Clinical supervision…

I hold a Specialist Certificate in Clinical Supervision and I offer online, one to one supervision to counsellors on either a fortnightly or monthly basis. I have a particular interest in helping counsellors setting up in private practice for the first time and those who may be new to working online. I know how financially draining your training can be and it can take time to establish a reasonable income when you are first starting out in private practice. So I offer discounted supervision initially to counsellors just starting out in private practice while they build up a client base and income. Message me for details and availability.

Counselling

“I was apprehensive about having my counselling online and to be honest I put it off for quite a while. Leasa offered me a short trial session first and it was much easier than I imagined. I’m glad I took the plunge and I wouldn’t hesitate to contact her for more sessions if I need them”

SF, Online Counselling

“After 4 sessions you have helped me to see more clearly what I need to change to help me feel better. I have been struggling with my menopause symptoms and feeling overwhelmed. I am feeling less stressed and have made some decisions about my work/life balance that I know will help me.”

CM, Brighton

“The telephone sessions were really helpful. Just having that set time each week to focus on myself has made such a difference. Thank you so much for all you have done for me. I will be recommending counselling to my friends”

LB, telephone Counselling

My location

I work from a private office located in Hassocks, West Sussex. The majority of my practice is based online via Zoom as the demand for this has increased dramatically over the past year. Working remotely means I can work with people from all over the UK. It also means you have no travel to consider and a much wider range of counsellors to choose from!

I do offer a limited number of in-person appointments for counselling in Hassocks, Burgess Hill, Brighton and surrounding areas so if this is your preference do contact me for details and availability.
